Tenets of Faith

  1. We believe that the Bible, Old and New Testament, is the inspired and infallible Word of God, that the Bible is the inerrant Scripture, and the revealed will of God (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:21, Heb 4:12).
  2.  We believe that God is eternally existent in three separate persons comprised of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All are one representing the Holy Trinity (Matt 28:19, 1 Jn 5:7). Jesus Christ, God made manifest in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead and the only begotten Son of God (Is 9:6, Jn 1:1,12, Lk 3:21,22). Godhead (the word) is found in Romans 1:20.
  3. We believe that man was created in God’s Image and God is the Creator of all things. By an act of His own will, man fell in sin and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Gen 1:26-31, Ex 1:26, Rom 8:29).
  4. We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, that he was born of a virgin by Immaculate Conception of the Holy Spirit. That He lived a sinless life, provided for atonement of our sins by His death on the cross, was resurrected after three days, ascended back to the right hand of God the father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.
  5. Salvation of Man:
    1. Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. When Jesus died on the cross He became sin and sickness for us, providing salvation and healing for all (Ps 103:3). Salvation comes by believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and by confessing with your mouth Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life (Rom 3:23,24, 10:8-10, Eph 2:8, Rom 6:23, 5:20,21, 1 Pet 2:24).
    2. The inward evidence to a believer is the personal witness of the Spirit (Rom 8:16, Gal 4:6, 1 Jn 3:24). The outward evidence to all men is a changed life of true holiness and love. Although no one except Jesus is perfect and sinless, an outward showing of a changed lifestyle must take place, representing a conversion of heart and life. (Mk 16:17,18, Jn 13:35).
    3. Salvation comes by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; however, our works are proof of our faith and determine our rewards in heaven (Rom 10:9,10, 2 Cor 5:10, Eph 2:8,9, Titus 3:5-8, Jam 2:18)
  6. Sanctification. Sanctification is an act of separating from evil and coming into relationship with God (Rom 12:1,2, 1 Thess 5:23, Jn 17:17, Eph 5:26, 2 Tim 2:21). The Bible teaches that without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Heb 12:24). By the power of the Holy Spirit, the command of holiness can be obeyed (1 Pet 1:15,16, Heb 12:9, Phil 2:13, Heb 13:21). Through sanctification, man realizes that Jesus died for his sins so he may have life everlasting, and by daily allowing the Holy Spirit to complete the work that God began until the day of the return (Phil 1:6).
  7. Baptism in water is a statement to the world that a believer has died to (or put away) the old, sinful ways of life, and that they have been raised (to a new way of life) with Christ to walk in newness through Him (Matt 28:19, Acts 10:47,48, Rom 6:4).
  8. We believe in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper by corporately eating the bread and drinking of the cup is a symbolism and remembrance of Jesus Christ and what He has done for us. (1 Cor 11:24-30).
  9. We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers and should eagerly expect and diligently seek the promise of the Father, according to the command of Jesus Christ. This includes the infilling power for life and service, the granting of gifts and their uses in the way of the ministry. This experience is different from, and in addition to the experience of the new birth (Lk 24:49, Acts 1:2-8, 2:38,39, 8:16, 10:44-46, 15:7-9, 19:1-7, 1 Cor 12:1-31).
  10. We believe that the evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to scripture, is an uncompromising love for your fellow man, boldness to witness to others concerning the testimony of Christ, an earnest desire for Christian service, as well as speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:44, 19:2-6).
  11. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in I Cor 12:1-11 as being available to all believers and are valid and active in the church today with an emphasis of being exercised within Scriptural guidelines. We as believers are to desire the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love that the whole Body of Christ would be edified.
  12. We believe that each believer is a contributing part of the Body of Christ. Every member of the family of God does their share and everyone has something to offer to others. All are important in God’s eyes and all work together to establish His kingdom in the earth. (Rom 12:3-8, 1 Cor 12:14-27, Eph 4:16).
  13. We believe in the blessed Hope: That Jesus is coming back again in person to gather all His saints to Himself to rule on the earth and will be visible to all, that there will be a new heaven and a new earth. This motivates us to heartfelt worship, committed service, diligent study of God’s Word, and regular fellowship with other Christians (1 Cor 15:51,52, 1 Thess 4:16,17, 2 Thess 2:1, Rev. 21:1, 2 Peter 3:13).
  14. We believe according to scripture that those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior with the evidence of the fruit of repentance will suffer eternal judgment, separation from the Godhead, and will burn in the lake of fire (Rev 19:20, 20:10-15).

IN CONCLUSION
We hope this brief explanation of our beliefs here at AFC brings some clarity to help you gain insight into who we are. It has not been our motive to imply that we are better than anyone else or that everyone else is all wrong. We stand forever on the side of Christ and trust in the Holy Spirit to help us give an accurate defense for His Gospel in a society where right and wrong standards are ultimately lost in a world of tolerance. We are committed to Evangelize the Lost with the fervent love of Jesus, be a useful vessel of honor to Bring Revival to the Church, and live what we preach/teach to Reform our Communities. With bold faith, high joy, clear vision, intense praise/worship, fervent love, and strong prayer the great commission and advancement of the Kingdom of God will be accomplished.

Kingdom Creed

I BELIEVE in the Father Almighty Who created the heavens and the earth.

I BELIEVE that God's original purpose was to create and maintain a universal community in which there would be creativity and productivity in an environment of health, peace, and harmony.

I BELIEVE in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God the Father.

I BELIEVE that Jesus was conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, died for the forgiveness of our sins, shedding His precious blood, was buried and rose again on the third day.

After His resurrection He preached the gospel of the Kingdom for forty days and then ascended into heaven where He now sits at the right hand of God, the Father, interceding for the Church, His Bride.

I BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit, in His work on earth as Teacher, Comforter, and Guide.

I BELIEVE in Divine healing provided through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.

I BELIEVE in the Word of God and in the Living Word, Jesus Christ Incarnate.

I BELIEVE that the Kingdom of God is built in trust and that the strategy of the Kingdom is love. I believe that God will destroy the destroyer of the earth.

I BELEIVE that I must fulfill the assignment given to me by Jesus: to infiltrate world systems, as salt and light, with the communication and demonstration of the principles of God's Kingdom.

I BELIEVE in the holy universal Church built upon Jesus Christ, the Chief Cornerstone, the foundation being the Apostles and the Prophets.

I BELIEVE in the second coming of Jesus Christ which will occur when the gospel of the Kindgom has been preached to all the earth as a witness.

I BELIEVE that when Christ returns He will judge the quick and the dead and He will establish God's Kingdom of which there will be no end.

AND HE SHALL REIGN FOREVER AND EVER, HALLELUJAH!

Tithing Creed

When I tithe, God promises to:
Open the windows of heaven and pour out for me a blessing. (Mal. 3:10)

When I give, Jesus promised:
If I give, it will be given to me.

With the same measure I give, it will be given back to me.

Paul Said:
He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
